REIMAGINING FILMMAKING FOR INDEPENDENT ARTISTS

Ambiencely Productions was founded by Emily Bance as a space for collaboration, experimentation and independent storytelling. Ambiencely was created to support emerging musicians, filmmakers and artists by opening access to animation and filmmaking without fees.

Ambiencely was formed on the belief that collaboration is vital within increasingly competitive creative landscapes. The studio exists to bring artists together through shared vision and collective making, embracing the idea that creativity is best when shaped through collaboration and artistic exchange.

Working across mixed media, stop motion and animated filmmaking, Ambiencely creates visually textured work that moves between film, art and imagination. Each project is an evolving process of experimentation.

The studio employs an array of techniques, from mixed media animation and frame-by-frame hand editing to painting, layering and manipulating imagery directly onto moving film. Alongside stop-motion and claymation practices, Ambiencely has worked within documentary filmmaking and cinematography.

With experience across industry-standard creative tools including the studio combines traditional hands-on processes with contemporary digital practice. This interplay between analogue and digital techniques lies at the heart of the studio’s approach, allowing each work to carry its own tactile identity and cinematic depth.

The practice continues to evolve beyond the visual frame, recently expanding into music production and sound engineering. By treating sound as an integral part of the creative process, Ambiencely Productions seeks to build complete sensory worlds where image, movement and sound exist in dialogue.

From Los Angeles to London, Paris to Melbourne and beyond, Ambiencely Productions has collaborated with independent artists internationally.
