AMBIENCELY PRODUCTIONS *
Our ethos is that stories are not confined to a single medium. By weaving together mixed media, 2D animation, stop motion and projections, we create films that refute traditional boundaries and transform storytelling.
Animation for Change
Animation for Change
Many of our projects are rooted in contemporary social issues and the lived experiences behind them. Through documentary, animation and mixed media filmmaking, we have worked on numerous short films recounting narratives and anecdotes told by various communities.
OUR STORY.
Ambiencely Productions was born from lived experience. While completing her undergraduate degree in filmmaking, Emily Bance became increasingly aware of how difficult it was for emerging and independent artists to gain access to filmmaking opportunities, industry experienc and creative networks. Struggling to secure work experience and opportunities herself, she recognised that many others at the beginning of their creative careers were facing the same barriers.
Rather than accepting these limitations, Emily created Ambiencely Productions as a response. The studio is a collaborative space designed to bring early-career artists together to build experience, develop portfolios and exchange creative skills. Founded outside of a profit-driven model, the project was built on the belief that artists are stronger when they support one another, sharing access to creative mediums, knowledge and opportunities that may otherwise feel out of reach.
At its core, Ambiencely Productions believes creativity thrives through connection. By bringing together musicians, filmmakers, animators and independent artists, the studio creates opportunities to collaborate, experiment and grow collectively while developing original work.
Emily’s passion for the arts and media has continued to evolve beyond filmmaking itself. Alongside creative practice, she has pursued legal studies with a growing interest in trademark, intellectual property, media rights and entertainment law. This reflects a wider commitment not only to creating work, but also to understanding and supporting the legal protections, ownership and rights that allow artists and independent creatives to sustain and protect their work.
What began as a small independent idea has since expanded internationally, with artists across the globe collaborating through Ambiencely Productions to create films, music and shared ideas. Through mixed media filmmaking, animation, sound and artistic exchange, the studio continues to champion accessible storytelling and has opened creative doors. Highlighting that work can be built through collaboration, experimentation and community.
